Little baby animals

Who doesn’t love these little tiny baby animals? I mean, they’re so darn cute, and wobbly and such. Yesterday our black belly hue “ Martha” gave birth to twin boys. Last night Karina and I were down in the sheep house with Martha & twins, encouraging the smaller one to latch onto his mamas pouch. Kneeling in the hay I glanced over to her with the question “ look at us! We’re googling lambing techniques, in a dark jungle hut with baby sheep in the middle of nowhere!” How did THAT happen?

And on goes the adventure. Whoever said that following the lead of Jesus was boring and mundane must have never given it a chance. Little baby animals

We also have new baby ducklings, and chickens whom bring another channel of peace and happiness into the mix here at the Nest.

The days here have taken on a steady hum of activity, mostly in the realm of our farm work. After several years of many short term mission trips , of big conferences and youth camps, I welcome the change of pace which is less of a hectic flurry. I know that God leads us through different phases, that change is a constant motion and that where He leads us there is peace and purpose. As we walk through the final stages of the official children’s shelter approval, we’re taking things in stride.

Each weekend we continue to host the youth outreach, which for Naju (our first full-time child) is always great to socialize in the safe environment of the Nest.

Well that’s it, I’ll make it a short one for now. Did you all receive the electronic version of our 2024 newsletter? You can download it HERE. Thank you to our board members and friends Kristen, Austin, and Stephanie for putting it together.

Thank you for your continued support and prayers for the Nest ministry.

With love and gratitude
